Terms Entered in Search Tools
When a visitor enters a name, place, or other term into a search box, the query goes to the independent provider operating that tool. Loudoun County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy terms govern its handling of the query.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or submit a contact message, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share the message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Normal web operations may record limited technical and usage details when a page loads. Those details can include:
- The visitor's IP address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device category and operating system.
- Pages opened and time spent on them.
- The referring site, when supplied.
- Date and time stamps associated with the request.

Links may lead to Loudoun County Sheriff pages, Virginia corrections systems, public records governed by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, federal locators, or private search services. After a visitor follows a link, the destination's own privacy notice and terms apply.
Some advertising partners use their own technology to recognize activity across different sites and select targeted advertising. That processing occurs within the partner's systems, not within Loudoun County Released Inmates.

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may reach the following parties when their role requires it:
- Search partners that process a submitted query.

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted information, a request may be made to review and delete it.

Subject to applicable law and the information actually held, a visitor may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal data held about them.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Delete information that no longer must be kept.
